Texas State Railroad Engines -
The engines that drive the Texas State Railroad have a long history. Engine 300 is one of two remaining U.S. Army "Pershing" engines, named after General Pershing and built for service during World War I. Built in 1901 for the Texas & Pacific Railway, Engine 201 is the oldest locomotive in operation on the line. Engine 7 is the Texas State Railroad's second oldest diesel locomotive in use.
